It is commonly known amongst poultry nutritional experts that lower gut pH makes for more favourable conditions under which ‘good bacteria’ can thrive.
It has even been evidenced that organic acids have other gut-improving benefits to offer poultry flocks:
“Another is butyric acid: âThis has been proven to strengthen the junctions in the gut and promote intestinal integrity, which is very important in older breeders,â he explains.” – Farmers Weekly
But as with all other supplementary poultry nutritional practices, the addition of organic acids is advised under recommended dosage.
Have you begun using organic acids within your poultry nutritional program?
Do you have prior experience or using organic acids in poultry farming?
Do you have positives or negatives to share?
