Leading breeders, such as Aviagen, recommend that poultry farmers should adopt a nutraceuticals approach to their nutritional program.
In other words, nutritional (non-pharmaceutical) supplements should be applied along side compund feed to assist birds in satisfying their growth and development needs.
This investment, according to evidence, yields greater returns for farmers in the long run – enabling the attainment of genetic potential (meat/egg production volume and quality).
What is your take on nutraceutical supplementation in poultry farming?
What nutrients do you think are the most important to ‘get right’?
