You shouldn’t pass up on examining the land set-up of your peers in poultry farming.
Every detail from size to location can lead you to advantage.
Arrangement, layout or proximity to particular viable markets are all helpers to your poultry farm profit.
Importance of analysing poultry farm land and property of your peers
The practicalities of poultry farming are heavily influenced by the property and its setting.
Physical constraints and parameters can dictate.
But as with anything in business – problems are only there to be solved.
And solutions come by thinking things through.
Seeing how your peers have handled certain obstacles can lead you to starting smart on many fronts.
(And all to profitable advantage.)
Example
Returning to our case study subject, Senthilvela (Owner, Nirmala Nature Farm) we examine the land and property clues of a close peer layer poultry farm.
The farm called, Happy Hens – based in Mullipatti – has two founders and partners in business.
During an interview with The Hindu Online, I picked up on the following useful farm land and property references.
(Useful for someone like Senthilvela to read through).
Here’s what I found:
“In the case of Happy Hens, which has its main farm in the village of Mullipatti, (around 60 kilometres from Tiruchirappalli), this means that the birds get lots of space to express their natural traits…”
“The leased 43-acre property houses a coconut plantation and native cattle, besides the poultry project. Kannan gets around the farm on an adapted cycle-rickshaw, and receives visitors in the same vehicle. “It’s my office and home,” he jokes.”
“Marappan wound up his own Bengaluru farm and slowly shifted operations to Mullipatti in 2013. At present, he says, Happy Hens produces 4,000-5,000 eggs per day, and has 20 franchisee farmers in Ariyalur, Perambalur and Tiruchirappalli. Marappan is now building a second Happy Hens farm in Hiriyur, around 160 kilometres from Bengaluru.”

The Happy Hens website and Google Maps profile reveal the following:
“Trichy, K K Nagar, Mullipatti, Tamil Nadu 620012, India” – is the address.
Also, you can find lots of on-site pictures of the farm in action right here.
